Ko Tūwharetoa te Iwi

Ngā Rēhia o Tūwharetoa

Ngā Rēhia o Tūwharetoa has been going strong since 2003, boasting participation from over 16 hapū of Ngāti Tūwharetoa. Held the second weekend of the new year, the event draws more than 3,000 whānau members from around the motu (some even coming home from Australia, the UK and Hawai’i for the event).

There are a number of activities on offer, from the ever popular petanque and euchre through to rugby, netball and trivial pursuit. Each year, many kaiāwhina work tirelessly in the support of planning and operations of this event, which gets better and bigger from one year to the next.

You can follow Ngā Rēhia on Facebook, get information and follow planning progress throughout the year via their page. From time to time we will be providing information via this website.
