Grants & Scholarships

We currently offer grants and scholarships totalling more than $200,000 per annum per year.

Grants open on 1st March and closes on the 31 July of each year. Special Needs Grants can be applied for at any time of the year.

Those who are attending NZQA recognised Establishments at Tertiary Level, Secondary School enrolled in any NCEA subject, Registered Early Childhood Establishments including Kōhanga Reo, and any person with special needs (Impaired or Disabled) who are descendants of Ngāti Tūwharetoa are welcome to apply.

Scholarships Open: 1st January each year

Scholarships Close: 31st March in each year

To qualify for a Scholarship you must complete one year of Tertiary Study. Scholarships are paid to those who are studying at a tertiary level and are based on your previous end of year marks.

Scholarships are rewarded to applicants with an A average - 10 Scholarship recipients are chosen each year to the value of $1,000 each.
