Governance Training

As part of the Boards Tribal Advocacy role it hosted a Governance Training Course in partnership with The Institute of Directors,
New Zealand.

The course was held over 3 days and
concentrated on Governance principles:

• The Board as a team
• Risk Management
• Strategy Analysing and Implementation

The Board invited representatives from several Tuwharetoa Entities such as:

• Tuwharetoa Health Services
• Tuwharetoa Settlement Trust
• Genesis
• Mighty River Power
• Puketapu
• Oraukura
• Rangiatea
• East Taupo Lands Trust
• Taupo-Nui-A-Tia Management Board
• Lake Taupo Forest Trust
• Lake Rotoaira Forest Trust
• Ngati Tuwharetoa Fisheries

It is proposed to continue this event on a scheduled basis. The Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board would like to show its appreciation to Te Puni Kokiri, Rotorua for their assistance with this very successful event.
